Super-Resolution Microscopes

Complete solutions for single-molecule localization microscopy (SMLM)

Applications

See Biology in Nanoscale Detail

Super-resolution microscopy techniques, such as single-molecule localization microscopy (SMLM), have been created to overcome some of the key challenges associated with light microscopy, allowing life sciences researchers to greatly expand their applications. These techniques can surpass the diffraction limit and generate higher quality images of biological specimens. Among super-resolution methods, SMLM offers the best improvement in resolution along with quantitative and statistical analysis capabilities. SMLM takes a movie of an image, allowing information below the diffraction limit to be gathered from the image over time. What’s more, SMLM can be combined with other exciting new techniques, such as DNA-PAINT and OligoSTORM to enable previously unobtainable data for a wide variety of fields, from genomics to oncology.
